Ulysses Reading Group Meeting – Sunday 18 January 2015

On Sunday the 18th of January, the group is reading episode three. We meet in Muir Court at 7.30pm as usual.

Following Homer’s Odyssey, the episode is called Proteus, in Greek mythology a sea-god who is able to change form. Proteus gives us the adjective protean which can mean versatile, adaptable, “all-round”.

The sea itself can be seen as always changing and Stephen tries to put an aspect of that into words.
